Almost Missed It!
Thank goodness Carmen, from Mom To The Screaming Masses, happened to mention this today! For some reason I assumed NaBloPoMo was scheduled for a different time of the year than NaNoWriMo. Not so. Same month.
At first I thought I would post every day on both Lizzie’s Home and Binder Basics. Then I went to Binder and checked when I’d posted already in November and realised I didn’t post on November 1…duh. So here’s it folks.
If you look to the navbar, you’ll see “Thirty By Thirty”, my list of thirty things I want to achieve before my 30th birthday on Oct 3rd, 2009. Right there at No. 18? Post here every day for a month, something I have never done before and the blog sorely needs it.
So what’s happening around Chez Liz today?
- The kids have been complaining there’s nothing to do. They’re currently making up a list of songs they want to burn to a CD. Prime real estate on that CD? Guitar Hero 3 songs, sigh.
- I forgot to wash Talented Hubby’s horrible heavy blue work socks and he was forced to wear a (clean!) pair which hadn’t seen the light of day for several years. Oh, the humanity!
- My calendar, opened to November, shows a delightfully blank canvas. This will change very, very soon. November is traditionally the worst month for end-of-school-year activities, concerts, craft fairs, work Christmas functions, work-run family Christmas party…the list goes on. The end of the school year hits around mid-December here (with our main holiday break of 6 weeks over our summer) but for some reason I guess teachers think December will already be busy and prefer to schedule things in November?
- I still have several loads of laundry to do, something to bake for school lunchboxes this week, work shirts to wash and iron damp and the kitchen to tidy up.
Something far more exciting tomorrow, I promise.
Cheers,
Lizzie

aaaaaaah guitar hero three.. proof the critterbug is my kid. who else would fall asleep to the strains of metallica and slayer, not 2 feet from the tv?
sarah’s last blog post..and then there were two
Oh, my kids are CRAZY about it. We got GH3 on the PS2 for Christmas last year but then a couple of months ago TH got to play out his fantasy of a big screen TV and PS3, and the old GH doesn’t work on it…so we used it as trade in for the new PS :) Then we heard they have a World Tour version coming out with either just the guitars (2) or in a pack with bongo drums and a microphone, LOL. Pretty expensive at $400 so I don’t know. But it’s at the top of the Xmas list and if we get it, it’ll be a family gift, including TH’s…and its one thing the kids have consistently and happily played. Pleases TH no end the kids are growing up with some ‘decent musical influences’ LOL.
Cheers,
Lizzie
